The green paint on the railing stands out next to the pink Plaster-Weld on the wall. This material is used to help the new mud adhere to old plaster.
Hybrid theme. Plaster cast from mod rock mould.
I mod rocked half my hand and cast it. I had the idea of adding the hands to the back of mice instead of ears. And you can see the development of the bones coming out of the fingers as if it's growing gradually out of the mouse.
Remoulded from a property in Holland Park rd London.
Bit more classy than a Homebase foam one.
Bugger to put up though, 26 seperate pieces.
Fitted by Dion Watkins, 4 of them.
Expensive and non-reuseable. The moulds used to develop the project would require an alternative material, even if the form of the lamp would need to be changed, for future explorations of this project's end-point.
I'm really thrilled with the way this came out. I'm going to cast it from resin next as soon as I get my hands on some pigments.
