The box was built using a crappy skill saw which stopped holding a charge 80% through. Some of the gimp factor is due to my attempting to work around that.

Angel is brass, doo-dad is an old piece of hardware from a steamer trunk. Ribbon is hand-dyed using Distressed reinker in forest green.
You can see how much detail the plaster has picked up from the latex cast i made. It even contains the real hairs.

The kids looked at the work of the Scottish Eduardo Paolozzi. They pressed various tools, fixings and wooden shapes into clay and used them to make a plaster cast,creating a low relief plaque.

Had a laparoscopy last week. I was very happy to wake up and find the surgeon had left my tattoo untouched. He made a very neat cut just under my belly button, which should practically become invisible once it's healed.
