El mejor plan para un domingo: levantarte a las seis de la mañana e irte a fotografiar el amanecer con una amiga loca por la fotografía como tú. Y eso fue lo que hicimos Salomé y yo un domingo de Octubre. Y después del esfuerzo de subir hasta la ermita y hacer montones de fotos, nos tomamos un merecidísimo desayuno de campeonas con unas vistas fabulosas.

I had planned on taking this pano with my D300, but the battery had died just a minute beforehand.
So instead, I did a 4 shot pano with my cellphone.
She's one happy girl. She never asks for anything and just always keeps smiling. My little grail girl ^___^
This pic needed quite a lot editing because it was so dark... the result isn't the best but I liked her windswept hair..
Plan A was to have a Pepsi bottle with a bent neck.
I now know that it is impossible to bend a soda bottle by putting it in my coal fired boiler.
Het fraai gerestaureerde plan U stel 151 van de Stichting Crew 2454 heeft de afgelopen tijd bij de SSN in Rotterdam-Noord gebivakkeerd. Hier onderging het stel onder andere een interne reiniging. Op zondag 20 maart 2022, de laatste dag van de astronomische winter, was het nog even waterkoud en grijs toen het stel de benen mocht strekken en vanuit Rotterdam naar Roosendaal vertrok. Dit ging echter niet rechtstreeks, maar via de spooraansluiting van het GVB in Diemen. De rit naar Roosendaal zou uiteindelijk vlak voor zonsondergang door Dordrecht gaan en omdat er aan het eind van de middag langzaam wat opklaringen kwamen, werd toch maar even die kant op gereden.
Een kleine 10 minuten voordat de doorkomst gepland was kwam gelukkig een ietwat nevelig zonnetje tevoorschijn en zo kon in de laatste zonnestralen het glimmende stel worden vastgelegd op weg naar de loods in Roosendaal bij passage ter hoogte van Dordrecht.
The truth is I didn't actually have a plan B until I realised I'd missed my chance of plan A. The result of an early start with the intention of heading for the pier on the way to Blyth this morning. On arriving at the beach it struck me that every time I've taken a shot near the outfalls it's been high tide and nearly every shot I've seen from other togs at this spot have been at high tide so with all this exposed beach to play with I decided to take a few pre sunrise shots here. Well i stayed a bit longer than I intended but with clouds like this can you blame me.

i've kind of left aside my series and projects these days, 'cos i'm planning this trip and i'm so excited about it that i barely can think of something else. i'm leaving in two weeks and i still have many things to prepare, so in the next days i won't be very active on flickr, and continue my 365 project with quick shots

Day 2 of Spring Break for the kid and I. My turn is over, and we sure packed it in today with a lot of imperfectly planned and executed adventures, but we both had fun. Tons of photos that I haven't seen yet, but this one is from the phone, of a semi-muddy BMX track we stopped at to ride and he's inspecting. It was soft but still fun. I might swap this out once I look at the "real camera" images, but I'm trying not to fall further behind and I like the simplicity of it. Phone>Flickr>Aviary = #103?

I randomly got the urge to take a self portrait the other night and this is what came of it. Having dreams and goals of leaving the place you were born can sometimes be difficult, it's something I've wanted for a long time and I think now is the moment, more than ever. I don't have a concrete plan for "escape" but I do know that nothing will stop me from living out my dreams.
There is so much I could say here, so much I want to say…about my life and history, friends and family, bad experiences and resentments, longings and far away love, but instead I'll just let the image do the talking. Have a good day everyone:D
**I would like to put a small disclaimer saying that there was some pretty significant liquifying involved in this photo slim me down a bit and make me look more "sickly" and "weak". It is for artistic purposes only, and I felt like I should make it known incase it was obvious. Other wise I don't really care :P
Though I wasn't initially planning on it, I quickly found myself chasing CN5738 down the Gilman sub to Clinton, home of one of the handful of sets of US&S P5 signals. The train has slowed on its approach towards town, making capturing it splitting the old signals a simple task. With the right-most signal being mounted on a completely rusted through semaphore mast that's probably five times older than I am, it's a wonder how it still stands today.
To think, what started as just a brief outing to see if the claims about Gilman's power was true (hint: they were), ended up becoming a long day as I went all the way down the sub to catch a train at three very special sets of signals. Quite a day indeed.
