This was wandering on a window one night, attracted to the lights. It grabbed my attention because it looked like it was emitting a blue glow. This turned out to be the sheen from the underwing. You can just see it in one photo. I'm not sure that the first image is the same individual as the other two photos.

A very vocal and gregarious bird, a plain chachalaca may not be a pretty bird but it is a fun species to watch and one to which it is fun to listen.
