I love finding outfits where the same fabric was used in unexpected ways! When my BFF Dean last visited, I wanted him to bring his rare Japanese Exclusive Tuli Chan outfit (#522-31078) which of course, fits Francie, as it uses the same woven plaid fabric as Barbie’s ‘All About Plaid’ from 1971-72, (which incidentally was also a birthday present from him!) It’s shown here on one of my Walk lively Steffies. Dean also brought along his beautiful Francie with her OOAK ‘bendy’ arms to wear his Tuli Chan outfit. It’s a very funky combo of that citrus-hued plaid on those bell bottoms with a simple red top and a quirky bright purple belt attached to one side of the pants. Don’t they look groovy together in the 1967 Barbie Family House?

One of my passions --vintage picnic tins and plaid metal lunch boxes are fun to hunt for, great to look at and perfect for storage.
I absolutely love plaid and tartan mini skirts and kilts. It's the one style I've added a few to my wardrobe recently. This one was from M&S a couple of years ago. They did it in a number of colours and patterns, but this was my favourite of them.
