The challenge was pink. This is the first of 4 summer placemats. I will be using the same design with different colours. This is the front.

These are about the cutest chickens EVER! Susan did a wonderful job with our chosen theme of " liberated!" She sure knows how to do it! Crosses, appliqued chickens and half square triangles. I just love the fact both sides are awesome! I am doing that next time!
The one chicken is wearing a necklace....that says...made with love! AND the label is made with snap on leaves! Susan...you are incredible and SO very creative!
Here are two placemats with some Aboriginal artwork on them it is a set of 6. this was a gift from my husband.

One of the most extraordinary experiences of my life was to turn around in a dark mine adit and see tiny semi-transparent ghost bats illuminated in the light from the entrance. Still trying to capture the experience. Ghost bats cast a spell on me!

I made these placemats for my sister-in-law's birthday. The fabrics are from Moda's Uptown line, which is now out of print ($@#&!) I'm hording the rest of my stash!
Problems with resin on placemat two. Try to peal it off (works on smaller pieces of polymer) but fail.

I bought these coloured placemats and an assortment of plates, when I was still teaching Food Technology so that the students could use them in a unit on food photography. They loved the bright colours. Now I often use them as backgrounds myself, particularly in food shots.
here's my cute little placemat, too bad it will never see a plate, it's way too cute for food. It will be on the wall. Thanks so much Kristine, it's perfect in every way. I love it!
I had enough red scraps to add 5 more finished placemats to a set of 4 others I made awhile back. Even the binding is made from scraps!
these are the 2 I made for my partner. I know the photos are long overdue, but better late than never!
I love how these turned out! The colors paired with the neutral background makes me happy! I used 9 different Shot Cotton colors in varying widths. Each placemat has a different color arrangement.
