These are about the cutest chickens EVER! Susan did a wonderful job with our chosen theme of " liberated!" She sure knows how to do it! Crosses, appliqued chickens and half square triangles. I just love the fact both sides are awesome! I am doing that next time!

The one chicken is wearing a necklace....that says...made with love! AND the label is made with snap on leaves! Susan...you are incredible and SO very creative!

Our Daily Challenge ... props.

I bought these coloured placemats and an assortment of plates, when I was still teaching Food Technology so that the students could use them in a unit on food photography. They loved the bright colours. Now I often use them as backgrounds myself, particularly in food shots.

here's my cute little placemat, too bad it will never see a plate, it's way too cute for food. It will be on the wall. Thanks so much Kristine, it's perfect in every way. I love it!

I had enough red scraps to add 5 more finished placemats to a set of 4 others I made awhile back. Even the binding is made from scraps!

I love how these turned out! The colors paired with the neutral background makes me happy! I used 9 different Shot Cotton colors in varying widths. Each placemat has a different color arrangement.
