There might be plenty of reasons for you not going for the purchase of Google Pixel 4; and it’s OK. The latest phone is loaded with some top features and specs but there surely are some pitfalls. Moreover, some people just don’t like to have futuristic handsets. But the biggest reason you might not want to get a Pixel 4 is its price. It’s a 2019 flagship with some features which are not present in other phones. So it is justifiably expensive.
If you are a Google #Pixel fan but you do not have enough of the budget to afford the latest handset, you can consider choosing an older Pixel phone, which is certainly going to be a decent handset with promising features at a lower cost. In this article, we are going to do a little comparison between Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3A to let you decide which may be the best handset for you.
Both of the phones have great cameras
Google is known for using the most capable camera system in their Pixel phones. They combine top of the line hardware with tailor-made software and algorithms to make sure that Pixel phones remain the best camera phones in the market; and they have been more than successful in doing so.
Nonetheless, Pixel 3A proves to be the better #camera phone due to the fact that it was launched several months after the launch of Pixel 3. Both of the phones come with a main lens of 12.2 MP, f/1.8, 28mm (wide) on their rear sides. And both of the phones can shoot videos of 2160p@30fps and 1080p@30/60/120fps. And let’s not forget that Pixel 3A is not a flagship phone.
Design, features, and specs
At first glance, both of the phones do not look much different from each other. However, there are some differences from the perspective of dimensions and overall build. The Pixel 3A has a full plastic body on the rear side and the entire circumference. On the other hand, Pixel 3 uses metal and glass in its design. The back of Pixel 3 is a glass body with matte finish, and it has a metal rim that runs along its edge to combine the front and backside of the phone. With a plastic body, Pixel 3A is lighter as compared to Pixel 3.
The processing power of Pixel 3A is powered by a Snapdragon 670 chipset which is not as capable as #Snapdragon 845 in Pixel 3, but it is more than enough to support day to day tasks without any hiccup. Of course it is not going to support heavy gaming like Pixel 3 does.
Battery performance is where you can see Pixel 3A winning with its 3,000mAh #battery unit. Pixel 3 has a 2,915mAh battery which is marginally smaller than that in the Pixel 3A but note that Pixel 3 is a phone with better processing capability, meaning that it can drain the battery faster. On the other hand, a normal phone, such as Pixel 3A, with a battery of 3,000mAh can last quite longer as compared to a phone with stronger processing specs and smaller battery.
Both of the phones come with 4GB of RAM. With Pixel 3, you can get an option to choose a model with 128GB of internal storage. But that is going to be more expensive than a 64GB model. Pixel 3A comes with a 64GB of internal storage, and there is no 128GB model available.
