Lost some resolution in downloading to Flickr; so I apologize for the pixelization you may encounter watching this short clip.
"DRAWING" is an earlier free-hand digital print utilizing the Apple Clarisworks program. This print was literally a "laboratory" in which I experimented and exploited a myriad of ways to develop a digital print.
This piece is also a satire about the, then, quaint practice of describing drawing as "making marks".
While the results are kind of "raw", I enjoy the "pixelization" so characteristic of this type of digital print.
The process I followed in making this print is much the same as the approach I use in developing a painting.
Ok, this isn't technically from the window near my desk, but it is from the doorway of the tiny building I work in. The person who does have this view let everyone know this beauty was out there. I wish I had had my film camera with the big zoom lens to get a better shot. This is zoomed in as far as possible before pixelization.
The image quality didn't end out as perfect as I could have wanted, so I had to do a little blurring to cut out the slight pixelization, and did a little to make the colors stand out more.

alteregoz: @mi55licious just added it to my instacanvas gallery. Buy it when you are ready
alteregoz: @mi55licious please note the pixelization in the corners. It's an adverse effect of one of the apps I use. It will translate to print. I just like being forthright with my customers
P1110343 - This guy was bopping around picking up some seed and attempting to keep warm like the rest of us.
Taken from about 25 foot, sorry for the pixelization.
Thanks for the ID stuant63
"SHAMAN" is a free-hand digital print utilizing the Appleworks program.

Prints of this kind are the result of my early and continuing fascination with American Indian culture and imagery.
Chances are that if you were born before 1990, you either had or knew someone who had a Commodore 64. I fell into both categories, and I can’t even begin to count the number of hours I spent either learning CBM Basic or playing games or even being online with Q-Link.
So, my trust old 1541 disk drive now resides in my office museum of antiquities. I have no idea what is on the disk that is currently in it, as it’s only labeled with a set of numbers and nothing else. By the notches on both side, I can see that something is recorded on both sides, but that’s about it.
To make this as authentic as possible, I reduced the image to the C64 color palette before sending it into grayscale and applying pixelization. This is kind of how photographs tended to look on the machine. It isn’t perfect, but then again I don’t have a working C64 to process the picture through!
At least, not yet…
The 800x600 screen resolution (at 170dpi! -- that's more than twice the pixel density of a computer screen) is perfectly sufficient for extended reading. The pixelization is not this evident in real life.

A set of mini perler bead creations from Kingdom Hearts. The set includes Sora, Kairi, Riku, Heartless, Keyblade, and Poupou Fruit. Each of these character designs were inspired by the show and the Danganronpa Pixel designs, and entirely pixelized by Shylexa. The other pixel designs were inspired by the show and also pixelized by Shylexa.
Getting a shot of this guy was tricky. The sun had set a few minutes earlier and the light was disappearing quickly. I would have cropped this shot a little closer, but it is so grainy, I decided not to do that.
In Photoshop Elements, I did a good bit of lightening and removed noise so it would be less pixelized. I had my Canon 40D on ISO 1600 and shot with my 70-200mm f 4.0 lens.
I believe this is a red tailed hawk. Can anyone confirm this?
experimentin' with the gimp... pixelized photo, swirled a corner then flipped horizontally and vertically
