Umea Ostra, Umea's impressive new station

The snaking pipework in the old boilerhouse.

One of the residency images that didn't make it in the final selection. I remember the seductive light in there.

OWP rolls round again, always an interesting, sometimes a frustrating project given that in the main I don't 'get' poetry. Your Spontaneous Free Association Time starts..... NOW!

Adnams has installed two new stills and more stillage tanks inside the Copper House distillery. February 2016.

The BMW engine delivers its pipes on the opposite side of the transmission tunnel to the Ford. This simple arrangement solves the problem easily (thanks to Robin Martin & Simon Gregory for the idea).

Ordinary 22mm plumbers copper pipe from the engine side, with 22/15mm adaptor leading to the heater - these sizes are perfect for the BMW engine water pipe, and the Ford heater pipes.

Abstract sculpture on the nature of human sexuality, abandoned industry, or both?

Side view showing the clamped up pipework running backwards and past the problematic gearbox mount. I'm going to tie this section to the gearbox so that the few mm I'll leave under the mount won't be a source of clanging noises as the system expands and moves around with the engine.

I ended up popping the sleeve in the middle of this section as it was about 10-20mm off centre. This wouldn't matter if I wasn't going to be squeezing the Cat in immediately after the S

The radiator elbows have allowed a very neat /simple pipework solution. The fan sensor mount will allow me to do away with the thermostat kit usually fitted in line in a hosepipe (they often are responsible for leaks). The fan sensor shown is from a gash sensor from a VW: I have a Ford sender which I will fit. This has a two stage switch kicking in at 93, and 97 degrees. As my fan is only a single speed, and I only have one fan I have used the 93 degree setting and will see how it performs.

I think I must have been thinking about Georgio di Chirico when I was playing with this one a while back.

Test fitting the pipework in the new bracket I made up using L section Ali and the shiny clips. Tomorrow I'll fit properly with some silicone hose and jubilee clips.

I'm determined to get this engine looking a bit more bling and retro wherever possible

Most of my railway Flickr contacts will know of Sheerness Steel but maybe not all of you will have been. So a set of shots of the now closed works. I have a thing for pipework as you can see.

Gas pipework ready to burn down the village - presumably at the end of filming. Hope there are no wildlife nesting here.....

Some OWP designs I'd not put up before. I'll put them in order in the Graphics set.

Gas pipe system, Village Gate, Rochester.

Pipework above the fuel tank. That's a lot of pipes.

Notice the new windows and pipework.

An evening with Lytham St Annes Photographic Society. Big club, great evening, but I was so taken with their 'print lightbox'. I thought it was water cooled! But if leaky plumbing is your problem, clearly Lytham St Annes is the place to be.

Bolands had some great runs of pipework

It has taken me fifteen years to get round to making a photograph of this cement works. It has many moods ... this is a mellow mood. NNE wind.

Positioning is critical as I have narrowed the tunnel to only 90mm internally, so that I can fit my wider seats
