Bullet Hole Spill: After a drunken hunter shot a hole in the Trans-Alaska Pipeline north of Fairbanks in October 2001, crude oil gushed out at 100 gallons per minute for 36 hours until 285,000 gallons had pooled in the boreal forest and the Alyeska Pipeline Service Co. had plugged the hole.

This must be where it got it's name.

...just in case you don't know where it is :-)

In fact this one was underground...a treated sewage/wastewater pipe that goes quite some distance out to sea.

This pipeline was once used to carry freshwater from Buntzen Lake to the Burrard Thermal Generating Plant. A new larger underground pipe is now used.

In November 2013 the provincial government announced that BC Hydro will stop generating electricity at Burrard Generating Station by 2016.
