One Unbroken Line...
A cartoon my Dad the pinstriper did when he was flirting with my mom back in the 1950s.
All freehand, the 'speedball' pen was dipped in an inkwell & it has a wide & thin edge to it. While rolling the pen in his hand he got the wide and narrow line, just like old Calligraphy!
I took some of these cartoons to Disney when I worked at Imagineering. One of the artists there looked at it, then back up at me, and said "you know, this explains ALOT..."
...er.. uh.. ok...?
Pinstriping on a '54 Ford that it's owner has dubbed "Nasty Habit." As seen at the Route 66 Days car show in Flagstaff last month.
