I am back in Constance Bay for a few months house sitting. There's a tall pine forest near by where I walk the dog. Yesterday it seemed strangely quiet, so I stopped to listen... so quiet, only the sound of an occasional delicate snowflake that hit my slippery winter coat. What a wonderful silence and place to be.
Whilst waiting to get any shots of the Ospreys at the RSPB centre at Loch Garten, this cheeky little chaffinch perched on a pine tree branch a short way off.

It has been awhile since I posted to Flickr. Been shooting a lot lately and keeping me away from posting. Anyhow, this one was taken out in Everglades National Park. Very beautiful place, but difficult to find images if you dont know the swamp very well.

Another shot of the red rocks of Sedona. If you haven't been there, you should go...it is very beautiful. Have a great Tuesday.
Wheel of Dharma moves slowly but grinds finely.
In Tibet it has become a crime to possess H.H. Dalai Lama’s photograph, people are getting arrested, beaten up and tortured for keeping photograph of His Holiness. Lunatic Chinese government has gone wild.
China is involved in the worst crime against humanity. Raise your voice against this monster of a nation. Remember, this nation is the chief patron (you can say Employer or Owner) of the Burmese Junta ; North Korea is a concubine state of China. They provided shelter and logistics directly and through Pakistan to Al Qaida. The root of international terrorism starts from the Chinese side of Pamir not from Pakistan. Pakistan is just a delivery system.
In this world every deed brings its own reward (sooner or later ); no nation, no king, no dictator, no criminal can avoid the divine justice. China will pay for its crime; You can make it happen sooner by expressing your disgust and by avoiding goods with a “Made in China” tag.
There are lots of pine forets in the Upper Swat Valley but still the area is suffering from deforestation. The ine forest is a useful source of timber and also a home to species such as Common Leopard, Musk Deer, Pheasants, Black Bears and Rhesus Monkeys. Markhor, Ibex, Wolves and Snow Leopards are also found here especially at higher elevations.
The pine forests are an eco-lovers paradise but it is safe to take a guide with you or go in a group so any local vagabonds do not take advantage.
