A remote and picturesque log cabin in a green pine forest, in the mountains of the Eastern Townships, Quebec, Canada. This is where i like to go when I want to get away from it all.
Walking through the woods with the constant company of the rain, observing the cleanliness and colors enhanced by the light that filters through the branches, awakens my admiration, giant black pines that are found in some areas of the Gorbea Natural Park, the vigilants of the ancient beech trees that we will find next to streams and waterfalls.

It was extra exciting sitting in the pine forest hide in Finland three months ago, where we couldn´t see the animals until they were almost right in front of us.
We had three bears (and one wolverine) at only a few meters range there. Super exciting!

Our road trip north had us passing through Oregon’s alpine desert, and I just couldn’t get over how green and lush everything is. I could have sat along this meadow and watched the creek babble through it for hours.
I hope that you're not tired already of all the beautiful bears I met in Finland ツ
This is from my closest encounter with them, at only a couple of meters. I also sat in the smallest of all the hides on the trip that evening, which made it extra exciting ツ

Ironing out the kinks in a new camera, test roll. Nothing too seriously kinked.
Very wide, wider than the Xpan by 4mm, about 21mm equivalent on 35mm. So about 3 Xpan frames stacked vertically. No distortion. Nice.

Last night I finally met the wolverine for the first time!
After having a bear spending some time really close to our hide in "Pine Forest", the wolverine suddenly showed up in the amazing light that filled the forest. Luckily it stayed close for a while as well.
Later we got two more bear visits. They spent some time only a couple of meters outside our hide(!), and it was super exciting! I got so many great photos that I look forward to show later on.
I just loved this photography spot and the amazing light we had. It´s sad that we don´t have the time to go back (this time). Tonight we will spend our last hours here, back in the hides by beautiul "Lake"- hoping for more reflections than we had the last time in the rain.

Several hundred years ago some of the photographer's distant ancestors lived at each end of this huge lake district, respectively on the farm of Løtveit in Hosanger and on the farms of Vassdal and Løtveit in Bruvik.
From my only meeting with the wolverine in Finland, in perfect evening light.
I've posted this before in a wider version, but I liked them both- so here's the second version ツ

The pine forest at the back is totally breathtaking, and I just love this winter art.
