Lake Rogers Park -- Odessa, Florida

A baby pinecone sitting in a bed of moss. This was taken near a large waterfall in western Maryland. The area was under deep tree cover and very moist. There is another picture posted from Deep Creek that has a mushroom from the same spot.

Bathed in warm evening light, a squirrel pauses along the trunk of a pine tree while holding a small cone between its paws. The minimalist composition and open sky create a quiet wildlife portrait filled with calm, balance, and natural simplicity
