Gathered pinecones from the woods and put them in a shiny red bucket by our front door at Christmas.

Taken with the Konica. I used these lollipops as favors for my friend"s bridal shower. These were extra.

I loved the way that the sun was hitting this fallen pinecone, really highlighting the texture.

found another version of the stick/tree

Pinecone juggling. I think they look very surrealistic hanging in midair like this.

Close-up of our gilded pinecone Christmas Tree ornament. We got this in Auburn, California about 15 years ago.

I liked this pinecone. Then I realized I needed a product shot and was going to go with orange..but then I realized THE INTERPRETATION IS UP TO ME RIGHT? BEHOLD. PINECONE. _PRODUCT_ OF PINE TREE. I really tried to get the light in between all of it's. ..shingles? Leaves? Florets? ---All of it's nooks. Set the pinecone on a glasses cleaning cloth to try to reduce reflection from the chair. I like this photo because it's a pinecone and I really like them, however, I could have tried to get more light into it's little crannies. Next time I will do a better job of this!

This made it into the final portfolio because 1. I love pinecones and 2. I think I did a pretty good job!

A baby pinecone! Isn't it the most adorable thing? :)
