While Joel was working on a friend's car (out in the middle of nowhere at a friend's house), I walked around and took pictures in the light rain.

This is a photo of a pinecone that I took in class. The purpose of this photo was to capture the texture of the pinecone while having shallow depth of field. In Photoshop, I used Auto Tone and Auto Contrast. I also used the Gradient Tool to create a fade in color as you look farther down the pinecone. I like this image because it has a simple look but also captures detail.
