This sample was inspired by a collage based on a drawing of pinecones. Small ridges were stitched into calico fabric in regular squares. Repeating the process evenly across the fabric lead to peaks at the corners and gave a very interesting wave-effect

My love for making these unique Christmas ornaments is getting out of hand. Here is a another one of a kind handmade pine cone ribbon ornament to apply a touch of class on any table center piece, glass bowl, hung from tree or where ever your decorating savvy takes you. It would bring an attractive motif to any wedding head table decorations or seasonal decor. Picture brides maids holding with ribbons or hanging as mini pomander, on pews, tables, around napkins and in glass vases or bowls.

Easy to grow and hardy semi tropical. The flowers coming from the spathe are edible, tasty, and sweet.

This isnt a great photo my camera got the best of me.

In the shadows

Hand glittered, cinnamon scented pinecones set the right tone.

Just some pinecones in a bowl.

continuing to add autumn nests, trees, and other creations to the shop this week

i've used some lovely twisting vines to create the wreath (from my sis's back yard!), and sewn fabric acorns, attaching them to real chinquapin acorn tops, along with a real pinecone. the leaf is hand sewn using hand dyed wool and cotton

Another find at my parents' house, which we are still clearing out, was several large bags on pinecones, nuts, and other weedy things my mother used in making nature inspired wreaths. I brought them home and have put most of them in my compost pile, but these cones and a few others I put aside for photography - later to end up as compost.

I think this will make a nice holiday card, possibly with a greeting added at the bottom; or maybe some holly or other colorful decoration. What do you think?

Another pinecone dangles equally precariously from a branch.
