Very cold again, and now lots of snow. This tiny hemlock tree pinecone had an even smaller icicle which I couldn't resist using the super macro mode upon.

A Great spotted woodpecker (Dendrocopos major) perched on a tree while feeding on a big pinecone. Photograph captured in the Maridalsvannet area.
I borrowed these candles from my neighbour, background is the curtain of my mothers bedroom. My father took me to the wood and i gathered pinecones. Such a long story but i still want to keep taking photos in nature morte style.
We don't usually see any pine trees in this area of Texas, so I was really happy to find this one growing in a church yard.
