My wife was walking the dogs this evening and I followed behind. I came across this pile of pinecones.

The membrane is falling off the growing tips of the needles, had not idea this process took place. Photos from a very short walk on a local walk trail. All handheld so some not in perfect focus. Sorry for so many, just saving to albums. :)

What passes for holiday decor in my house

After being in the house for 5 days sick with pneumonia I finally felt better. I needed to get of the house and could not resist the opportunity to take pictures on such a gorgeous day.

Autumn is my absolute favorite season of the year, it is beautiful in all aspects.

It has been unseasonably cold, and on Crhistmas day my granson-in-law stoked up this nice fire outdoors to keep us warm! I liked the way the pinecones glowed red and then frosted with white ash..

A few weeks ago, I put on my boots and trekked out into the snow to take a few pics. The light was so pretty behind these little pinecones...I had to post it.
