At the far end of the beach at Budleigh Salterton, is the mouth of the River Otter, which is recognisable by this line of pine trees.
My wife and I have a number of pine cones in our yard. This pine cone is seen on the pavement on the side of the street.

This far into August, it's unusual to see a marten in the garden so early in the evening – 8.50pm – but always welcome. Her recent visits have all been after 10pm when the light is too poor for the Pentax.
Two slash pines stand out amidst thousands of others in Jonathan Dickenson State Park. Interestingly, the park was named for a merchant who was ship-wrecked nearby in 1696.

One of the few warblers that you will find on your bird feeder. Because not only do they like pine seeds, but sunflower seeds will also do.
Not much of a macro shot actually, the 18-55 kit lens has of course its limits. But after cropping it's quite ok.
