www.cambridgemedical.com.sg/news-detail/rejuran-healer-pi... There has been a lot of talk about Rejuran Healer or rather 婴儿针. Most clinics promote it as a general anti-aging agent and collagen stimulator for acne scar treatment. However, a lesser know and often overlooked application for Rejuran Healer is in the control of pigmentation problems like Melasma and PIH (Post-Inflammatory Pigmentation).
This was taken through a window. An unusual find.. I think. Nature messed up on the pigmentation.

The white tiger or bleached tiger is a pigmentation variant of the Bengal tiger, which is reported in the wild from time to time in the Indian states of Assam, West Bengal and Bihar in the Sunderbans region and especially in the former State of Rewa.Such a tiger has the black stripes typical of the Bengal tiger, but carries a white or near-white coat.
The tiger is the largest cat species, most recognizable for their pattern of dark vertical stripes on reddish-orange fur with a lighter underside. The species is classified in the genus Panthera with the lion, leopard, jaguar, and snow leopard.

Bald eagle
Haliaeetus leucocephalus
This is "blondie", a leucistic bald eagle. Leucism is similar to albinism except where albinism is complete lack of pigmentation, leucism is partial loss of pigmentation.

Collected this one from leaf litter. After many photos of its face, it appears to me to have only 1 very long unpaired midfacial setae. It has very dark lateral body pigmentation. Looks strange to me, so I collected it and tried to document it. Will probably turn out to be just a Ptenothrix sp.3.

Detail showing the purple pigmentation of the Lady Orchid flowers. Some of the spots are really small tufts of coloured hair.
A rare bird indeed. Mistaken by many for a Whooping Crane. This bird is a genetic variant, partial albino. It does not get the characterisitc pigmentation in its feathers. Any brownish pigment is picked up from the soil as with all Sandhills. I was lucky enough to see and photograph this bird over several days.
Black-headed gull (Chroicocephalus ridibundus), 6th calendar year
Amsterdam, Bijlmermeer, The Netherlands, November 19, 2011. W[LSB] (Arnhem 3651665). Leucistic adult Black-headed gull, lacking pigment on the head, mantle, and scapulars. Full black pigmentation is present though in the primaries. This individual is believed to be breeding in Finland and spends each winter in Amsterdam. More images.
(Ringing date: Amstelkanaal, Amsterdam, The Netherlands, January 2, 2007. Sex: male. Age: second calendar year.)
Kokmeeuw (Chroicocephalus ridibundus), 6de kalenderjaar

The left side of this young bird's tail (right in this ventral view) consists of new feathers which haven't reached full length but have a slightly different shape and pigmentation pattern than the older juvenile feathers (to he left in this view).
Dave Campbell, one of the elephant trainers at The Louisville Zoo, directed Mikky, a 19 year old African Elephant, to sit on the back of Punch, a 35 year old Asian Elephant during Saturday afternoon's show for zoo visitors. African Elephants have larger ears than the Asian Elephants. Asian Elephants, also called Indian Elephants, are born black and often show signs of aging by "Pinking" on the face, trunk and ears. Pinking is a pigmentation change not unlike gray hair in people. . .
The amount of dark pigmentation in the dorsal banding can be highly variable in this race, as is the case throughout this species range. This adult female has reduced dark pigment in the dorsal patterning.

Brampton, Ontario. He was with a flock of normal looking Canada Goose. Leucism is related to loss of feather pigmentation which also weakens flight feathers. To quote BTO "There is also evidence that leucistic birds might, on occasion, not be recognised or accepted by a potential mate". How unfortunate.
In this photo, and in this location, copper looks actually "copper" colored. In the "red container" planting, it looks redder, with alot less orange overtones. I was surprised, because I thought the full sun location of this specimen would bring out the red color. but maybe it brought the darker anthocyanin pigmentation out, the purply undertone, or more chlorophyll (green undertones)... thus the "copper" coloration.
These two male white lions, named Sunshine and Future -- I believe they are brothers -- were given as gifts, as cubs, to the Cincinnati (Ohio, USA) Zoo by performers Siegfried & Roy in 1998. They are so handsome!
This was taken in the evening at the annual Festival of Lights. Lighting was bad, and there were a number of people on the wooden, elevated walkway around me walking and making the walkway vibrate, so with the low light, the distance to the lions, and the constant movement of the surface I was standing on I'm glad this came out as well as it did.
White lions are a rare color mutation of the African lion. They are not albino; they are leucistic, which is lack of dark pigmentation. They get their coloring from a recessive gene known as a color inhibitor. To produce a white lion, both parents must possess the recessive gene.
Siegfried & Roy love their big cats and are active in protecting and preserving big cat speices. I salute them for that.
Leucistic American Coot at Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge, Texas 2-18-17. Leucism is a partial loss of pigmentation.
I spotted this bird in my garden over the weekend.
Photo sent to BBC North West Tonight by Henryk Dziedziul from Shavington in Cheshire.
I asked the RSPB why this starling was white, and here's what Annabel from Leighton Moss Nature Reserve replied:
It's a leucistic starling. Leucism is a genetic disorder where basically a bird lacks the genes that tell it to be the right colour. It's different from albinism where the bird has no pigmentation. If it were an albino it would have red eyes and a pink beak and legs.
"Leucism isn’t unheard of but it's not common. There have been cases of a leucistic puffin, and I’ve seen a leucisitc crow at Malham."

Found in Polk Co, OR. This is a piedbald hypomelanistic because he has spots of normal pigmentation. Types of piedbaldism other than leucistic, keepers often refer to as aberrant or "paradox." This likely means that the hypomelanism is likely environmentally caused and not genetic

Hairline Inc offer a guaranteed, unparalleled, non-surgical solution to hair loss
Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP tattoo of the hairline and scalp) is the number one solution to hair loss; an awe inspiring treatment that can transform the appearance of an individual. Organic pigments are deposited during the hair tattoo into the dermis of the scalp to perfectly replicate the appearance of shaved hair. Different to a hair transplant, micro scalp pigmentation is an affordable and realistic solution to male pattern baldness and alopecia in both genders, through which the appearance of a totally full and complete head of hair is achievable. Micro pigmentation involves no down time and there is very little pain involved. Any redness following the stubble tattoo procedure usually subsides within the first few hours, and most clients are surprised with how little they feel and how comfortable they are throughout their procedure.
