Double expo: Matthias lit up a caleidoscope-like triangled tube for the bokeh effect in the middle , lens capped, step to second tripod, lens cap off, rotated a tube with inserted magic strobe flashlight by @ryuslightworks .. :P

In a quest to experience the Geminids meteor shower I set off to Swainby castle.
Managed to see around 15 meteors, alas nothing caught on camera.
Although I did manage to get some night sky shots in front of the decaying Whorlton Castle.

It was built in the early 12th century as a Norman motte-and-bailey associated with the nearby settlement. Light in motion - Lightpainting is not a crime
I got this "light in motion" vision for ages and tested different variations over the past weeks. This is the first picture I would like to share with you.
The possibilities with this technique are diverse and I tried to mix them with other lp elements....more to come.... 😀✌
One of my pictures Flickr in 2014 has already the title "lightpainting is not a crime" but I've seen some nice shirts with that slogan too...thought anybody would/should send/sell one to me...😀😂....however....my passion for lp is still alive and that's just the beginning.... 😛✌

A triggered selfie flash first @1/8 power and f/18, draw the stem with a small green gelled torch, then give pendulum a try and at least draw the meadow with green #elwirecraft tool. ⠀
For the newbies: Manual aperture lenses are great to use for various brightness of light sources in 1 exposure!
For example it's nice to use aperture f/3,5 for elwire to get it more visible and close aperture for brighter light sources. ⠀

...by the way: "the pit and the pendulum"....I love these creepy (meanwhile trashy) old Hollywood movies with Vincent Price! ⠀

I follow the great Troy Paiva for years now....and I´m never tired to see his outstanding "lost America" series!
Step over to his channel and look at his stunning pictures taken at abandoned lost places.
I´m a car fanatic and petrolhead....and every time I see those classic beautys slowly rot there I ask myself why nobody save them.... However...I had this idea for ages to do that in miniaturized diorama style.
