Whilst driving home last night I caught this view through the clearing, had to stop and take a few shots, not the greatest clarity on the moon, but I like it.

Iceworld
The idea was to do a setup with a visible aurora in the sky. Some DIY iceworld stencil cut.
A77 + Walimex Pro 8mm with several aperture for the lights. Instant Aurora was done with a green & yellow gels mix on a foil dimmed Flash in continuous light mode.
One of my rare Dioramas. Inspired by the quality work of some great fellas like Matthias Heppt, Dennis Ryu Bär, Mirko Panzeri, Dave Gijon Asturias & last but never least Tim Gamble!
Had this plan for a very long time but the craft work scared me off. But it was worth the time!

My first attempt at a night sky panoramic shot.
3 shots in total, all 30 second exposures.
Managed to capture Jupiter (brightest light in the left) Sirius and Orion in the shot.
Didn't really consider my horizon positioning in the shot but I am pleased with the overall result!
Central to the shot is the lone Scots Pine tree on Egton High Moor, the light pollution on the horizon is coming from the nearby town of Whitby

Finally I got my Magilight by Fotorgear ordered in January 2018....it was perk 11??...one of the first supporters. I waited 11 months (!) for shipping but it was worth to wait. Finally due to problems with German duty laws I got the second, facelifted model! 😅 Now I should search some fresh files for next Magic Projects!
