This is not a selfie. Photo taken by Zé Eduardo...
Shot using manual focus through a window and a dense thicket ... OK, so I chopped off the bottom of his tail... you can't have everything!
Having the floor redone tomorrow, so took some "before" pictures. This turned out to be one of the "effects" on the Photofun editing site. Too good to pass up, I thought. Fun with pics.
Had to stop at a set of traffic lights where road works were taking place - the sun had been in my eyes for miles... such a strange sight it was, too!!
Stapelia - Star Cactus
This plant is a highly variable species, with many hybrids. [4] Stems can be erect or ascending 9-10 (-30) cm long and up to 3 cm in diameter (generally less than 2 cm). [4] The flowers are velvety and smaller than those of Stapelia gigantea, they come in various shapes and colors. [4] Flowers occur intermittently in late summer and fall seasons. [4]
The name "carrion plant" is due to the smell given off by flowers as a technique to attract flies in areas where other pollinating insects are scarce.

Una rosa es una rosa
decían en un poema ,
al hablar de la rosa ,
¡ eres flor hermosa !
de dulces y gratos olores
más, cuidado . . . . . . .
¡ que valiente eres
cuando del rosal
te desprenden sin cuidado
¡ de afiladas espinas
depende tu vida ,
que hasta tu muerte
¡ hueles con fino aroma !

"We had just finished mopping up what was left of Separatist assault on the palace when orders came in to relocate to a nearby ridge just north of the palace. Upon arriving there I immediately identified our target, in the middle of the canyon was a hulking Separatist Sub-Carrier moving steadily towards us. We quickly devised a boarding plan and then got to work assembling the bomb command had sent us. By the time, we had finished the sub was upon us it was time to act, Lucky when first diving down into the canyon, latching onto the sub's left wing. He was followed by Rook leaving me with the bomb, once the sub was under me, I stepped off the ledge letting the bombs weight drag me down towards the sub, I missed. Thinking fast I reached for my modified harpoon grapple and fired, the line flew true striking the wing and catching a vent in the armor. Lucky dove to secure the line and began to pull me in as Rook dealt with a stray aqua droid, so far so good. Once the charge was in place the three of us fell from the sub seeking refuge in a small cave close the to the canyon's base and then proceeded to watch the fireworks."
Man this was a nightmare to light and shoot (eventually, I just gave up hence the terrible picture :P)
But trust me the build looks so much better in person.
Anyway, this is my entry to mission 8.3 unless I decide to redo it.
As always C&C is appreciated (especially on this one) and TFVAHAGD!
my prayers go out to you and may God be with you in this sorrowful time.
[ASCOLI PICENO, ITALY—Mourners in Italy prayed, hugged, wept and even applauded as coffins carrying victims of the country’s devastating earthquake passed by at a state funeral Saturday, grieving as one nation after three desperate days of trying to save as many people as possible.
In the central town of Ascoli Piceno, they gathered to bid farewell to 35 of the 291 people confirmed dead so far after the quake that struck a swath of countryside early Wednesday at the foothills of the central Apennine mountains.]
