But if you have been sitting beside the lake for several hours, I guess a flask of warming coffee is the only luxury!
Satisfied fishermen have been traveling to northern Manitoba and enjoying the beautiful sunsets, the clear pristine waters and the variety of fish that can be angled. Whether you are a rainbow trout, walleye, northern pike, tullibee, smallmouth bass or lake trout fisherman - you will find what you are looking for at Rocky Lake or in her surrounding areas.
Fishing starts the 3rd weekend in May and they are open until the second week in October. The prime fishing time is May-June and September, although some people enjoy good fishing all summer long.
This lake is located in the heart of waterfowl country of Manitoba and also moose hunting country areas later in the season.
This juvenile starling spends a lot of time at the feeder alone. There are no other juveniles who visit, and no adult starlings, either. Over the last week he has been visiting at the same time as the wood pigeon, who seems to tolerate, and even protect him. A strange partnership.

Let me tell you a wee bit about Abner here, on any given day he has a surly disposition. Sad because he is my friend, Ruthie's lovable puss. On this particular day he was sitting there with that look, I think, he was trying to make up his mind as to whether or not, it was acceptable for me to speak to him. I find this too funny. I kept talking to him and lo and behold if he didn't suddenly turn his back on me and with his fluffy tail high in the air, he walks away. So I guess it meant that I was not 'good enough to waste his time on me!' Too funny!

In this turbulent world that we live in, family is the most important unit of society. It would be wonderful if every home was Christian, but we know that this is not so. But the only way to provide the right home for your children is to put the Lord above them and instruct them in His teachings. Afterall, you are responsible before God for the home you provide for them.
I have a screen door - homemade - on the door of the conservatory, so the fresh air can come in, but no bugs - and Max can sit and watch the world go by. I was out in the garden with the camera and he was watching me.... this pose just made me smile!

I dressed all the dolls in jeans and a plain white shirt/top today, and I brushed their hair, thinking I'd take a group shot. don't know if it will happen, but at least I made a new family mosaic.
I do wish they would "pose" for me...but it is always a quick shot and one is gone! AND I must clean the window... I can no longer get a clear shot through it!! lol
