overall not to bad of condition. some body work but it can be done. once it gets to my house i will but a new battery in it and see if it will turn over. I may need to replace the seals and check everything out.

It works! The pickup coil generates a decent signal for the board. The signal improves when we magnetize the string, which is how an actual pickup works. The isolation is only so-so, however, so we've got some work to do. We're going to try shielding the coil. Hopefully we can narrow down its sensitivity to one string.

A Ghost in The Machine . I think this term describes some items, particularly mechanical ones that have taken on a personality or a

character, i.e. a kind of magnetism or attraction. Invariably this machine was put together by a skilled technician with diligence and pride of his craftsmanship, together with care and respect for the item he is creating. Through the passage of time the creator of the machine is no longer with us, yet somehow his ghost remains.

The machine's existence is extended due to the love,care, admiration and nurturing by the present owner who has once again given life to the machine.
