The 1947 Studebaker pickup tried to pick up where the company left off with their wonderful 1937 Coupe Express Pickup but is a rather homely beast instead.

Some days I wonder how my kids will turn out, but most of the time I'm just figuring out how to survive them right now.

This old Ford pickup is in West Blocton, Alabama. It was once owned by a beverage company in Bessemer, Alabama. I have a close-up of the door in another photo.

Dupont made the colour called Chromalusion (KK784 BLUE BERRY) and it looked quite stunning on this 1952 Chev pickup, including a large Ghost Scallop on each front fender.

Thats how the owner got the name Chevrolusion... Chevrolet and Chromalusion and combined the two. No matter where you stood the colours change in the light.

I love taking pictures of old things because they have so much more character than new things. This is one of the pictures I took using the Rule of Thirds. Although most of the picture is taken up by the pickup truck, the rusty steel wash tub is really what I would consider to be in the "thirds" area.
