The Nissan Junior was a series of medium-sized Pickup trucks built from 1956 until 1982. It was introduced to fill the gap between the light Datsuns and heavier Nissans such as the 80-series trucks. While the smaller Datsun Truck always outsold the Toyota Hilux, the larger Junior always played second fiddle to the Toyota Stout. This may have been due to the decision to market it under the unfamiliar Nissan name, as well as "Junior" not being a very suitable name for a large, strong truck. The last iteration of the Junior remains in production in Iran, where it is built by the Zamyad company.
Third generation
140/141 series (1970–1982)
The 140 series Junior, which integrated the Junior and Miler lines, was introduced in October 1970. While considerably more modern than the 41-series, sales were unsatisfactory and Nissan soon cancelled exports outside of Asia. For sale in the Prince dealerships, this car was also called Nissan Miler. This generation of the Junior had three motors: the familiar two-litre petrol version (H20) with 99 PS (73 kW), a 1.6-litre petrol version, and a 60 PS (44 kW) diesel (SD22). All are four-cylinders with two valves per cylinder. The smallest model (chassis code N140) was rated for 1.5 t (3,300 lb), while the two-litre 140-series models came either as a 1.75 or 2.0 t (3,850 or 4,400 lb) model.
In 1974, an improved model, the 141, conforming to 1975 exhaust emission regulations, was launched. The 1.6 was discontinued and the H20 now had 92 PS (68 kW).
Sales in this segment slowed considerably as the eighties approached, and in 1982 the Junior was cancelled without a successor.
In 1970 The 140 series Junior has been produced under license in Iran by Zamyad Co. in Tehran, Iran. They only produced 2.0 liter models. In 1986 production line moved to SAIPA Co with using Z24 Nissan engines from Nissan/Datsun 720 Pickups. In 1998 production line moved again to Zamyad Co., where now Nissan Junior is still in production. Zamyad still using Z24i version of Nissan Z series engine and 2.8 liter Diesel engines.

That's a big pickup truck, but only 2-wheel drive! It's a fourth generation model (2009 onwards) - the Ram Trucks brand was separated from Dodge in 2010. I think it's a Crew Cab model.
The bed cover on this Ford Pickup really sets it apart from most trucks. Fred Sanford used to drive one like this - only his wasn't near as nice. Taken at the Wayne County Misfits car show on May 27th, 2006.

Wow. This thing just keeps getting bigger.
We had 50+ out on the Beech Fork this Saturday for another great Paddle Pickup.
First I would like to thank everyone who makes this river cleanup possible. People like Mike Hammons with Central Kentucky Canoe & Kayak. He halts his own business and donates his entire fleet of canoes to us each year. And when we load these things with tires and old scrap metal then scrape them down the rubble dam, we really but the boats through the ringer. But with out them, the Paddle Pickup could never grow to be this large. So Mike, the Bardstown Boaters would like to thank you for all or your hard work and support.
We would like to thank Nelson County for providing all the means needed to remove the bulk garbage from the river.
We would like to thank the Bardstown Rotarians for providing t-shirts for all the volunteers of the Paddle Pickup.
We would like to thank the Bluegrass Tavern and Smith Brothers Distributing for providing us with a new banner for this year's event.
And special thanks goes out to Boy Scout Troops 142 and 147. They came out big for the 2007 Paddle Pickup. Over 20 scouts paddled the river, cleaning it up and removing tons of garbage from it. The Boy Scouts worked very hard on this day and it couldn't have been this great of an effort without them.
This year the Paddle Pickup removed more trash for our local stream bed than ever before. Over 80 tires were among the tons of garbage removed, which includes an old news paper dispenser that has been wasting away down at the Beech Fork for about a decade and of course your standard 20 bags full of beer and soft drink cans.
Sadly we had two blatant displays of disrespect to our river during the Paddle Pickup. A group of eight paddlers putting on at 31E threw down beer cans right in front of a group of volunteers who were removing tires from the river. Also a father son team of polluters threw down their bait container and soft drink cans while they enjoyed fishing at the freshly cleaned rubble dam.
Keep throwing your trash in the river, and we'll keep picking it up. We won't be stopping. One day these idiots will get the message.
If you weren't able to make it out this year, we'll be doing it again next year. It will take place again during the National River Cleanup Week.
Thanks to all our volunteers who helped make our local waterways a better place. We'll see you on the river.
12/19/2008 - Houston, Texas - I took this picture at a stop light at Shepherd and W. Gray. This pickup was seriously overloaded and the suspension couldn't bear the full load.

well I traded off my 1974 vw bug for this nice truck. It will haul a bit more the the bug. It seems to run good and handles good. I had to install a new radiator before bringing it home. It ended up being a different size motor than what I was told. so the radiator is a bit bigger than what was called for. I got the front turn/running lights fixed last night as they had a ground problem. I ended up just installing new sockets and all.
