This weeks Macro Mondays effort brings us a donkey. That is wonky. 'Damaged' from list A, 'Toy' from list B. Looking forward to lots of variety this week. Anyhoo, HMM y'all!

This is a Christmas Flowering cactus. Is it red or pink - depends on the light? I'm not sure but it's pink for this week's Macro Monday theme 'Redux 2020'. I've

chosen 'Pick Two' not so much because it was my favourite, but more to do with having a pink flower available to photograph.

It's taken in natural light with pink card behind it. It has been cropped to 16x9 but is otherwise straight out of the camera.

The name "matryoshka" (матрёшка), literally "little matron", is a diminutive form of Russian female first name "Matryona" (Матрёна) or "Matriosha".

A set of matryoshkas consists of a wooden figure, which separates, top from bottom, to reveal a smaller figure of the same sort inside, which has, in turn, another figure inside of it, and so on.
