I went to Forestlawn Physio today and will need to go a bit more over the weeks. I' ve been going there off & on since 1986. Dr. Ken Cook the owner is like a brother to me.
Was waiting for a physio appointment in the morning at Queensferry, so went down to the waters edge for a while. Only had mobile phone with me, but had to take a shot or two anyway - it was gorgeous there at the time.
Over 60 post-secondary students studying several healthcare disciplines —including medicine, nursing, respiratory and physio therapy, and EMS—participated in an RPAP Medical Skills event, sponsored by the Alberta Rural Physician Action Plan (RPAP), Bassano Health Centre, Bassano and District Health Foundation, and the Town of Bassano in partnership with the County of Newell.

Large abandoned NHS hospital where every block seems to date from a different decade.
1915 - A British Red Cross hospital was founded within a large manor house. A 100 beds & 8 nursing sisters tended to wounded soldiers.
1922 - Bought by the local council and became a tuberculosis sanatorium.
1939 - Expanded with new blocks and a physiotherapy department.
1948 - NHS founded. X Ray department established. TB gave way to orthopaedics, rheumatology and respiratory care - frequently treating coal miners from the Forest of Dean.
1953 - Renamed 'Standish House Chest Hospital'
Modernisation and expansion were carried out in the 70s & 80s.
2004 - NHS cost cutting resulted in the closure of Standish Hospital, all functions and remaining patients moved to Gloucester.

She's getting my leg good and ready for the work ahead... and checking on my progress. Now that it doesn't hurt so much when she does the bending, I like this part of the physio sessions! If the last 5-10 degrees of my range don't come eventually, she promised she'll get somebody to sit on my leg, so let's hope I get the last bit on my own!!
