The soon-to-be released Phottix Strato 4 in 1 2.4 GHz Trigger connected to a Canon 40D. It will trigger flashes and work as a wired or wireless shutter release.
Strobist: On a shooting table: Canon 430 EX 1/2 power, above, into reflective umbrella, Canon 430 EX 1/2 power, below, bare. Canon 580 EXII at 1/4 power at 5 o'clock into reflective umbrella. Trigger with Phottix Strato triggers.
Color casting from most ND filter isn't an appreciated thing for most photographer, but sometimes, it also has it's own benefit too just like this photo. The pink/reddish sky is mainly from the color casting of my ND filter stacking on top of the Reverse GND filter. It's not a Photoshop effect. And I think it actually looks pretty cool.
Also, today is the first time I've tried the Phottix Geo One GPS (which is one of the prize that I won from a photo contest earlier). I really like it! Not only it picks up the satellite signal fast, and pin point accurate, it will also automatically geo tag the photo for me when uploaded to Flickr according to the GPS data. It's very handy IMHO.

"Hey Daniel, whats going on? I got an idea for a shot!"
He liked it and I rent the mighty EF 200 1.8 and we had a lot of fun with it. I saw a lot of leviate pictures and wanted to do a shot like this, too, but combined with bokeh and so we tried it out.
We had a lot of fun doing it and Daniel could do a sneak preview on his new camera :)

Entering at night into an abandoned location is always a slightly daunting task, everything makes you feel a little more on edge and your senses really play havoc with you - here for example, we constantly thought someone was outside or about to come in whilst we were lighting the dome and the central column. And those senses were exaggerated further as I climbed the stairs to place a speed-light at the top of the column.
Upon leaving it turned out our senses were not wrong after all, as we bumped into loads of local youths that had been playing in the huge industrial mass around us.

Fired w/ Phottix Odins
A macro shot of my older poker dice from the 1950s, taken for my Macro Mondays group, “Board game pieces” theme (dice were accepted).
This is probably one of the last photos I will ever take with my trusty Micro–Nikkor 105mm f/2.8 macro lens. I bought it in March 2008 and it served me well for a solid 13–year stint and a slew of assorted photographs, not all of them macros, far from it!
Now, however, with the advent of mirrorless and the Z mount, it is time to move on. I have already pre–ordered a copy of the new 105mm f/2.8 S that has just been announced by Nikon, and I wil soon put my old friend to auction on eBay, in the hope of finding a new home and a new owner who will appreciate it as much as I have over all those years together.
This is also the first time I use the new geared head that I purchased recently, a Benro GD3WH (a mouthful!) which I thought would serve me better for architectural shots than tha Leofoto panoramic head I have been using these past few months. We will see. The Benro seems to work fine. Of course, it is a lot bulkier and almost double the weight, but it does allow for much more precise adjustments.

Originally painted sky blue, this is a genuine World War I steel helmet from the French army. It has been in the family on my mother’s side since then.
For this 1:1 macro shot, I used my new Micro–Nikkor 85mm f/2.8 PC–E tilt–shift and macro lens. Natively, it can only achieve 1:2, but in this case, I added a Fotodiox Pro extension tube to reach life size. I used it because it is also a tilt–shift lens and I tilted it almost all the way to get all of what I wanted in focus.
