A succulent in my garden, just starting to flower.

Not only is this moth stunning to look at, it's also nearly 30 years old! Sample preserved and provided by our dear friend, entomologist and photographer... Stan Malcolm. His work can be found here: www.performance-vision.com/airline/

Red Rod Eremophila Eremophila calorhabdos, in my garden in Geelong. Four photos showing flower stages from bud to seed capsule.

This plant grows naturally in an area north of Esperence, Western Australia. It is of lanky stature but I have planted three together and it looks good. I also prune the top third occasionally to promote branching.

153 photos from a timelapse of the sun setting, all merged into one image. I used the layer blending mode "lighten" to merge the images, which only lets the lighter parts show from one photo to the next. This technique usually takes out all the dark clouds, as lighter clouds pass where the darker ones were, but in this case there were dark clouds that stuck around for 150 photos, and so they got to stay in the final image.

About 320 photos of the sun setting, merged into one image. It's interesting to see how the contrails evolve. (the lines of condensation created by airplanes) This year the water level has been lower than I've ever seen it. You don't often see the rocks sticking out of the water like you do in this photo.

Small Moth (wingspan approx 4 cm). 30 images stacked.

Wear and tear on a 2-3 year old gold ring. Do you see what's wrong with this photo?

Taken in Battle Ground, Clark Co., WA, USA

Gorman Falls at the Colorado Bend State Park in Texas. This area is cordoned off. There are caves back there. The outer face of the falls is covered with calcium carbonite formations and moss. currently the falls are not falling much.

photostacked seashell from the beach. used a 200mm bellow.

20 photos stacked with darken mode, and again with lighten mode. I then blended the 2 images together. The lighten stack for the water and the darken stack for the rest. I'm guessing this is a flock of seagulls, but I'm not quite sure.

Being the northernmost Messier objects, Bode's Galaxy (M81) and Cigar Galaxy (M82) can be observed yearlong in Boston and they allow longer exposure time without an equatorial mount. [394 frames x 6" exposure at 214 mm, F/5.0, ISO 1600]

Photostack 50 pics Dmap - January 31st 2013 Japan, Riverside of Yodogawa Riv. Deguchi 6, Hirakatacity, Osaka Pref. 01-II-2011, Satoshi Nukuyu leg.

Photographed in Cambridge, MA. Stacked from 400 frames of 2.5 sec. exposure at F/5.6, 135 mm focal length, ISO 1600.

This is a home spider with long legs, less hair. I was stubborn to shoot it with a a reversed CZJ 2.8/20 (PB) on bellows. As my 4-way focusing rail hasn't arrived yet managing the smal shift in DOFs was a painfull job. I made a boom stick (umbrella attached light stand) and mounted my LED head lamp on it to give the illumination power. Main light power come from the 2 Sunpaks (422 and 433) triggered wirelessly via Cactus V2s stystem. I'm a bit ashamed of myself as the spider is dead by freezing Embarassed I left it at fridge for 15mins but in just 1 mins it was back in motion so in the second phase I left it for 35mins but I guess this was too much. As you can guess the drops are from the melting.

This photostacking is my first result from a 5 photo set but I need to practice more. The result was not clean so used PS a lot to clean it. Here is the final result.
