Saturday's flower. MK's orchids chuckling and showing off their colors. :-)
Hope everyone is having a great weekend. :-D
#I couldn't fit the window sill in and keep the flower focus within the bounds of the size for the group but it is on a window sill!....
Amazing Nature, I really like these flowers that come up each year for a few weeks so I tried my hand at photostacking, I hope you like them :-)
Icy stars or flowers, I froze 10 liters of water in a bucket overnight, at night it was freezing around -20c and in the morning the water had frozen enough. I also put few tulips in the bucket to give colors to the ice lantern. As the water froze, small patterns formed on the surface of the ice, nature's wonderful art.
The photo is a small part of a larger photo, it is also a stacking of 19 photos.

Often, even if I don't always want to, I have to leave my forests and travel to the nearest city or to Helsinki. Helsinki is a dear city to me, I work there from time to time, people dear to me live there and I have also lived there temporarily for long periods of time. The city has given me a lot. I've rarely photographed it though, maybe because the days there are always so busy.
This ICM version of Helsinki is made of two stacked ICM photos, captured on a sunny November morning. The stacked photo itself was boring, so I colored it more and painted a few cars and a bench so that my image of Helsinki would be what the city really means to me. Joy, success and love.
This particular part of Helsinki is completely new and my eyes are not used to it. There are, for example, really tall tower blocks under construction, some already ready. On the left is the sea and the commercial port.
The video depicts a more traditional and more familiar Helsinki in January, during the bitter cold.
August full Moon was traditionally called the Sturgeon Moon because the giant sturgeon of the Great Lakes and Lake Champlain were most readily caught during this part of summer.
The photo was stacked by 2 images, and taken from Virginia side of Potomac river.

Worrying times for all of us wherever we are.
For the technical jargon, the image was photostacked from 10 photos @ about 48MB each. Even this small number of files overloaded the default settings of photoshop; a closer look at these will be necessary.

A close-up on the eye of the monkey from the ceramic lid of a German 2l stein that I received from an uncle who brought it from Germany around 1900. It's manufactured by Matthias Grimscheid, Mold #1199. It's a big stein so the wording is most appropriate: “Trag deinen Affen mit Geduld, an dem bist du nur selber Schuld.” (Bear your monkey with patience, it is your own fault.)

I'm not sure what type of spider this is but he had a 4 foot wide web from my BBQ shed to some nearby trees - - he was getting ready to wrap up some of the insects he had caught - - there was at least 3 in his web at this point in time

No one in our house plays the piano but when a neighbor was giving away his upright Webster I couldn't pass it up. Now it makes for a nice shelf and occasional photo prop. It was made sometime in the early 1900's (best I can tell) and I wonder if the keys were made with real ivory and ebony wood? With limited places to go the house is now my next photo op!

Forgot my wide angle lens at home yesterday and I had to do a photostack of this landscape, I had my D850 with me witch has alot of Mpx (45-46 if I remember ) and the problem was that this is made of multiple images in total It has a resolution of 21523x9725 witch is 209 mpx in total my potato pc sufferd the most out of this. Of course this is just a " illustration " of the original, not even the colors look as the original and thanks to instr beautiful crop policies it doesn't even show the full pic ♂️.... Sooo the lesson is always double check your bag to be sure you didn't forget anything. Thanks for the visit and have a nice day!
