How cute is a monogrammed pillow for a child? These are selling well for Christmas...everybody is sick of giving junky toys.
Some patrons were even up for the challenge to draw and texture their own doll!
One even had tacos on the kimono.

The Niner YAWYD top cap is topped with a Flying Fish bottlecap. My one of a kind shifter solution is documented in this album. That tri-color harlequin wrap is not something you'll see very often, either. That's a 90mm extension Niner aluminum stem and 43cm Compass Maes Parallel 31.8mm handlebars

I'm experimenting with these personalized candle covers. When I've figured out fire-safety I will make an extensive post on how to "Do It Yourself".
I met Adam J. Maldonado Friday night at Tennessee Brewery Untapped. His job is writing what he calls personalized poetry. He crafts verse on the spot on his Underwood manual typewriter for customers who set the subject and the price, paying whatever they feel the poem is worth. Maldonado moved to Memphis several months ago from the Los Angeles area. You can look him up on his website, thepoetadam.com

We just celebrated my niece's birthday. I custom-designed a necklace and earrings for her made of sterling silver and pink and clear crystals (see previous photo).
I wanted the gift wrap to match the colors of the gift, and finding ribbon was no problem, but solid pink gift wrap was nowhere to be found.
Enter creativity! In her book, Presentations, Carolyne Roehm recommends designing your own gift wrap in Photoshop and printing it out on an inkjet printer. So ... I gave it a try, and I'm very pleased with the results.
Large gifts would be difficult to wrap this way unless you have a large-format printer, but this gift was small, so one 8-1/2 x 11 sheet of white copy paper worked perfectly. I printed a matching card using the same pattern on heavy white card stock.
Kathryne very carefully and attentively opened the package being sure not to tear the paper. She said it was going on her bulletin board. Picture me smiling :0) ... giving is so much fun!
Happy birthday, Kathryne!
Update: This is my first photo on Flickr to receive 1,000 views (and 2,500 views as of January 25, 2010). Thank you to everyone who helped make that happen!

Learn how to create personalized greeting cards using GIMP, Inkscape and Scribus. This year I decided to create some cards for my family, friends, co-workers and calligraphy guild members (card exchange).
I created 60 personalized 5″ x 7″ (A7) greeting cards. Each card had a persons (or family’s) name done in authentic calligraphy draped on top of seasonal stock photography and textures. The inside of the cards have greetings also done in authentic calligraphy — around six greetings that are mixed and matched with the cards. All of the lettering was completed with my new designer type that I plan to offer commercially. I also created a couple of stock cards for events that come up throughout the year.
This project workflow consisted of starting in GIMP for processing the background images and the typeface itself, then Inkscape for the layout of each card (outsides & insides), then Scribus for the production of a single 120 page PDF (version 1.4) file that was sent to the print shop. This was a really fun project that anyone can do using completely FREE software. I have two courses that would help you create these from start to finish — Digital Arts Course & my Desktop Publishing Course that are available at gimpmagazine.org/courses
Overall I am really happy with the outcome. The quality of the print job was exceptional. It is unusual to get a completely personalized card with your name on it so everyone has expressed thanks and some have said they look forward to next year. I really love the look of these cards. The printing specifications include:
-5″ x 7″
-Double sided
-Scored & folded
-Full bleed printing (added 1/8″ around – 7.25″ x 10.25″)
-Colour
-FSC Standard Gloss Cover – White – 111lb paper
-Uses standard A7 Envelopes

The USGA Rules and Decisions states:
Rule 6-5. - Ball
"The responsibility for playing the proper ball rests with the player. Each player should put an identification mark on his ball."
This is how I always mark my Callaway Solaire golf ball so it's easily identified as mine! I have a 4 ball match later today and was getting myself & bag prepared. Wish me luck!:)
Kroger Special Coverage
This Hernando, MS-honoring piece of décor is in the cereal aisle of the Kroger off of Commerce. Many other historical pictures – with captions, no less! - adorn the perimeter of the interior.
In case you were wondering, this is the picture I'm using as my buddy icon :)
