I wouldn’t recommend performing at the same event you’re hosting. However, I was way too busy managing guests and food to get nervous!
For Friendsgiving, my guitarist and I performed a few songs for the guests. Next stop: open mic night!

I am back!!!! ~OK partially, I am doing a "post and run" today and promise to catch up on my contacts photostreams this week... its been a crazy couple of weeks...
About this photo... over this past spring and summer I have been amassing a bunch of candid street photos of people and this past week I travelled out to Vancouver and took some time to take a walk down to East Van. (and for those of you that know the area know its not a place you want to be alone with camera gear, day or night)
I saw this guy in Gastown playing out front of Starbucks on the street, and the weathered face made me stop and take some photos of him... not for free mind you, I bought him a grande bold and gave him a toonie, then... asked his permission if i could photograph him.
He let me shoot him for awhile while he played to my camera and ignored the dozens of tourists that simply snapped away... he even told people to get out of my way...haha...
He told me he plays on the streets for food, shelter and medication... he makes on average $40 to $50 during the tourist season a day and that pays for a room, his food and his medication. Without that talent he would simply be another homeless person begging for money and sleeping in a free shelter worried for his life...
And BTW, a huge shout out to Chris Clare who lent me his e520 while i wait for my replacement through insurance... you're a good man Chris... this ones for you...

Deux comédiens vaquent chacun de leur coté à leurs occupations dans leurs appartements respectifs qui sont visibles comme au théâtre par les spectateurs. Au bout de quelques minutes, ils sortent de leurs maisons et se retrouvent face à face autour de la fontaine. Ils se disent uniquement "bonjour" et rentrent chez eux. La scène est répétée toute la journée par des équipes de comédiens qui se relaient.

Il n’y a pas de gens qui échouent.Il n’y a que des gens qui ne croient pas à leurs rêves.La mort et la vie sont au pouvoir de la langue.Et faire des miracles c’est poser les bonnes questions.Former ses désirs c’est les exprimer. Jeudi soir nous allons accoucher les âmes.
Jeudi soir tu vas pouvoir exprimer tes quêtes et tes urgences,tes inquiétudes et tes doutes, tes appétits et tes intentions. Tu monteras sur une estrade pour haranguer la foule et la presser de te répondre comme dans la Grèce antique et il te sera sera répondu.Ne peut-on rêver meilleure façon d’interroger les oracles ? Bien sûr ce sera très risqué et très impudique, mais l’expérience risque d’être extraordinaire.Bien sûr tu risques de te rendre éminemment ridicule et toi qui as l’habitude d’interroger un moteur de recherche tu auras ici affaire à des « mateurs de recherche » parfois prompts à persifler sur la futilité de ta demande.
Et oui pour une fois tu seras à visage découvert, face aux opportunités que la vie réserve...entre nos mains...

Maltz Performing Arts Center at Temple–Tifereth Israel built in 1924 is a historic synagogue building located on University Circle at Silver Park in Cleveland, Ohio.
With the incredible renovation of the Temple building now complete, the building begins a new chapter as the Milton and Tamar Maltz Performing Arts Center. The only project of its kind in the country, it is the result of a historic partnership between Case Western Reserve University and The Temple – Tifereth Israel, and the extraordinary generosity and vision of Milton and Tamar Maltz and the many other individuals and organizations who have supported this unprecedented project.
With the completion of Phase One, the Milton and Tamar Maltz Performing Arts Center at The Temple – Tifereth Israel has become a place for music, lectures, and other forms of cultural enrichment. Silver Hall, seating up to 1,200 people, showcases students from Case Western Reserve’s music department, whose 19 ensembles include a symphony orchestra, an Early Music vocal ensemble, Baroque chamber ensembles and orchestra, ensembles for jazz, wind, and popular music, and the Case Concert Choir. The Maltz Performing Arts Center is also home to Think Forum, the university’s distinguished lecture series, and will host signature cultural programs that engage the larger Cleveland community. In addition, Silver Hall will continue to be used by The Temple's congregation for major religious observances and life-cycle events.
