Performance artist Eve Warnock brought sculpture to life with dancers in the MAH's Atrium on Friday, July 26th.
Grisaille muslin mache series done in 2007 for my friend Erin's BFA Sculpture Thesis "The Sidewalk Show" in May. She curated performance artists, musicians and puppeteers to set up and interact with the crowds at the First Friday Gallery Hop.
I also made costumes to go with the masks. I thought that they might be too scary to interest passing kids, but the grown-ups gave me a wide berth. I forgot for a moment that kids like to be scary. Duh.

Today I ran into two artists who were having fun with a freshly welded arch-thingy. Thinking it would give a strange effect -two people standing under a metal arch on the sidewalk- I asked them to pose for some pictures. Which, as you can see, they did with great enthusiasm :)
