My first view of The Pyramid, the Transamerica Building in San Francisco, looks right next to this wonderful old wedge building.on Columbus. Check out the next photo to see how the eyes can deceive.

A gentle nudge to get me afloat. Ok, maybe a couple of nudges.

This is my project that went into my art project for my VA class. It was my final project and I liked how it turned out.

Recent brief on perception of place, influenced by the notion of everchanging perception due to many factors and the environment we are in, etc. 35mm black and white film.

It's all about what you see and feel.

With the combination of modern technology the Mac labs are a perfect place for study having a tranquil feel and easy access to any programs needed for work on assessments.

Being this the first year of study at university, adapting to learning environments was hard, because being used to noise around while studying was a habit of mine during high school. That habit was comforted with the library computers on the first floor. There’d be an huge flow of students around 12pm, with conversation and mobiles making noise which helped with my study habit, but would be to others a negative learning environment since there are no prohibition of mobile devices and conversation.

Library computers are mainly used for students who’re typing up there essay, assignments, etc. Even though this environment is close to everything, i.e. books and resources, the noise would be the factor that makes it a not so good learning environment.

Venice, Los Angeles - California: October 23rd, 2009

Living outside of existence is nothing now for the man on the wall. He can travel anywhere a hard surface is provided.. but doesn't speak. Time is a static perception and the people flow by like water.

Fortunate enough to be found here and there - wood grain is his skin of the day. Just stopping by to say hello and then it's off to another time and place. I suppose we could say the same for ourselves too...

This photo is available to buy in a bunch of formats on my Redbubble Site.

We believe this place is negative for working because on most days it gets very crowded and loud. It’s more of a social place to meet than a working environment.

Kinetic Perspective - Juan A. Fuentes

Optical illusions that play with visitors' perception.

Inspired by the optical art illusions of the 1960s, Kinetic Perspective takes as its starting point an ever-spinning circle moving outwards and its illusory effect. In this way, the artist creates an abstract and immersive geometric shape, playing with the perspective of visitors by giving the impression of movement.

A row of eighteen illusions, each composed of two circles spinning in sync, gives the impression of a vanishing point at the eye level of visitors. Invited to actively participate and observe, the audience must move around to discover the patterns, glimmers and distortion, in which a hidden geometry will be revealed

Juan A. Fuentes' artistic line aims to awaken emotions and experiences in which the limit between what is real and what is not is blurred and where everything depends on the perspective of the spectator.
