Morning of Day 3 in Boston finds me at the New England Aquarium. A great place to see many different underwater habitats and to spend a morning. The penquins here seemed bored and just sat on the rocks.
This Penquin I made for my grandma. She loved it, especially the hat and scarf which are Christmas colors. This penquin stands about 9 inches (23 centimeters) tall. It is crocheted amigurumi. It will soon be for sale in my etsy shop!

The Roger Tory Peterson Penguin Exhibit offers above- and below-water viewing of the more than 20 African penguins who live at the Aquarium. Watch them interact on the exhibit’s rocks, then head below to the underwater viewing windows, where you get an up-close look at the birds swimming and socializing.

This photo was taken at a huge colony located on Right Whale Bay where many of the King Penguins were in varying stages of moulting. During moulting the birds can not go to sea. They stand near the stream/water to keep cool.
Chinstraps love nesting on top of the mountains and glaciers. They even use their bills on steep slopes to help get up. Made for good workout to gto get photos.
