Ballpoint Pen Drawings are a form of art that consist of the usage of a ballpoint pen in a way similar to an average pencil except that the results are more permanent. The medium itself is considered to be easier to purchase when compared to other artistic materials. It is also a tool that any level of artist can use. Unlike other pens such as a fountain pen or crowquill pen the ink is less messy and does not bleed as much. The ink is instead distribute through the small ball at the tip of the pen which helps manage ink distribution more without difficulty. There are many intricate pictures produced by shading and the creating of many tones through techniques that are very similar to a pencil drawing. Not only is black ballpoint pen ink being used, various color inks have been as well. Subject matters for this type of art consist of portraits, sketches, still-life's, landscapes, abstracts and ect. The most prolific ballpoint pen artist, publisher, video producer and information provider Jerry Stith,[1] is known for pushing in the whole new movement of using ballpoint pens as a medium for illustrating and drawing period. He has produced 3,750 of his own art pieces using this medium and is still continuing as of 2011. The movement itself has been going on for some time and is picking up speed even now. Thanks to his enthusiasm in this new form of art many amazing artist such as Babis Kiliaris, Juan F. Casas, Virginia Rodriguez Cañete, Andrey Hrenov and Shirish Deshpande [2] have appeared in the art world. Not only are the many artworks created with this medium made for just amusement they are being placed in exhibits such as the one by the Korean artist Il Lee, who will display his abstract drawings at The Crow Collection of Asian Art located in Dallas, Texas on April 8, 2011.[3]

View From The Moon - Joanie Lemercier
Do you think you can see the moon? Think again.
Far away, you can see the silhouette of a planet projected on a large wall. This image seems familiar: a crescent of light on a perfect sphere. You think you recognise the moon. As you get closer, you see the details of craters and irregularities created by shadows and reliefs. Once you are close and observing attentively, you recognise the contours of continents, seas and oceans. What remains are traces of disasters, the monochrome reveals the absence of an atmosphere and the disappearance of oceans. It is up to your to imagine what lies behind this view of an inert planet.
Joanie Lemercier is a French artist primarily focused on projections of light in space and its influence on our perception. He was introduced to creating art on a computer at the age of five. This early education established his interest in physical structures: geometry, patterns and minimalist forms. As his work evolved, Joanie Lemercier began to play with these concrete structures through the physics and philosophy of how light can be used to manipulate perceived reality.

Circle Totem - Olivier Clausse
A suspended moment for gathering and sharing.
Circle Totem is a poetic, slow and narrative installation. The totem can be appreciated in its own right but also in a broader context. It is, in fact, a suspended moment conducive to gathering and sharing. This artistic proposal aims to re-establish links. First of all, the link with time, by inviting you to contemplate, stop and observe. But also the link with constant rediscovery through the play of lights, colours and intensities. The totems are animated independently and the pool of water at the base of each structure reflects the light and allows for multiple points of view.
Through his unique view of light, Olivier Clausse describes himself as a creative worker and scenographer who constantly sharpens his relationship with the object. Backed by twenty-six years of experience in the performing arts, cinema and crafts, he has forged his own personality. Together with the Afro-American choreographer Nora Chipaumire, he has established himself as an international lighting designer. His minimalist stage designs and raw lighting were praised in 2012 by the New York Times for the piece 'Miriam' performed at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Olivier Clausse has multiplied his projects in theatre and music, notably with the quadraphonic concert 'La Colonie de Vacances' and 8 years of tours across France.

Drawn in Light - Ralf Westerhof
A drawing reflects light in the dead of night.
Drawn in Light is a large installation made of steel. Metal wire is hand-bent into various shapes, thereby creating a delicate drawing. The lines of this drawing reflect light and illuminate the sky. They depict a house, a nearby tree and a passing cyclist. The installation, lit on four sides by LED lights, turns in a continuously moving and ever-changing orbit.
Ralf Westerhof started his creative career as a theatre scenographer and a visual artist specialising in kinetic sculpture. The drawings, inspired by Egon Schiele, are made of hand-bent wires that retain their shape due to a number of vertical lines that hang from a mobile. In 2014, he took part in the Amsterdam Light Festival. This performance enabled him to subsequently realise a series of new productions and exhibitions all over Europe, as well as in Asia and South America.
