The subject of the Spring Salon this year at Kadmium, is "Me, Mass and Community". Myself, ourselves: we form a community, so all artwork will hang together = unity.
At that time when I made this drawing (myself) I had to accept and let go many things (Mass), such as the death of a close friend. Not easy but she has found peace after illness. The leaves symbolizes leaving a stage and waiting for a new one. It's almost spring!
