Cold frosty Winter's morning..the kind where your breath blows white. I'd been parked in this tiny Village Hall car park right out in the country, muffled up for December and drawing looking across the fields. Not happy with the results, I turned to go and saw this, directly ahead. Such a simple arrangement of trees and fence against the sky..but irrisistible. This has always been one of my favorite sketches.Tiny A6 sketchbook.

this is one of my works in the Ballpoint Pen online class , you can take this course "The Complete Ballpoint Pen Drawing Course for Beginners " with discount only $10 my course link is here:

One of My works With Colored Ballpoint Pens

"I blurred at once the map of humdrum,

by splashing colours like a potion;

I showed upon the dish of jelly the slanted cheekbones of the ocean.

Upon the scales of metal fishes

I read the new lips’ attitude.

But could you

now

perform a nocturne

Just playing on a drainpipe flute?"

--- V. Mayakovsky, 1913

Several minutes random doodle just out of blue ... and it looks like some kind of steampunk musical instrument eventually and I remembered this spectacular poetry in theme.

those are pages of my diary (CoolNotes by TeNeues), not one of my sketchbooks; I sketch and doodle here all the time, but those are usually scribbles on the go, so they never end up on my flickr. i kind of like this one though, so here goes. the bush baby on the right isn't my idea - I saw it somewhere and quickly jotted down - it's cute!

(2019) Vi on Stairs

Here's a simple portrait of my cat Vi on the stairs based on an old photo from 2011.

Share something I've heard today and found it interesting:

“If we can't see the sun, we shall be the sun.

If we can't be the sun., we shall chase the sun.”

Let us be sunshine for others.

This doodle was done at work, whilst I was on the phone. A couple of days later a friend sent me a link to see a zentangle. I was surprised as I hadn't heard of these before and essentially I had been doodling in that style for years.
