AFA was one of the brands sold by the Poutrait-Morin company which also included Zefal and Lapize (pumps) and Chrostophe (toe clips and straps) during the 1970s and 1980s. The steel band is too narrow for this 25mm top tube so I simply added a vinyl shim beneath the band - it helps protect the enamel, anyway. The bands were originally made to accommodate up to 1 1/8" tubing and were always supplied with clear plastic shims (which often broke or were quickly lost). The separate nylon pegs could bend if under too much pressure from a pump spring, so it is best to allow ample space.

This Willet just looks like it's about to fall over. I just thought it looked cool standing there like that on one leg.

A brief clip from an episode of "Married With Children" in which Al Bundy hires a young man to work in the shoe store simply because the guy plays football on the same team Al did when he was in high school. Long story short: the guy introduces Al to his girlfriend, named "Meg" who is a very close Afro-American version of Al's wife "Peg", starting with physical appearance and right down to her love of watching Oprah while sitting on the couch in front of the TV and eating Bon Bons. I thought it was one of the funniest endings to an episode of MWC, and I've seen just about all of them.

Hubby and I made this peg loom and I'm excited to have started making a scarf! It's more charcoal than the black you see here and will have some turquoise in it. Easy and fun! :)

Punjab Tent-Pegging Festival was held in Faisalabad with tent-peggers from all round the province taking part in the three-day event.
The players showcased their excellent horsemanship skills, picking up the pegs with amazing accuracy with their horses at a galloping speed. And there was no lack of support.
A large number of spectators -- including hundreds of tent-pegging enthusiasts from far-flung areas of Punjab province -- turned up at the venue to cheer on their favourites. They seemed to be gripped with the thrilling spectacle of the combined effort of the man and the animal. Some were even seen dancing with joy whenever their players performed a perfect pick.
Tent pegging is one of Pakistan\'s traditional sports and has a huge following in Punjab. A lot of tournaments, almost all on self finance basis, are held in the province throughout the year with teams and players turning up for each event in great numbers. They spend a lot of money not just on the tourna ment but also on the transport of the horses, which are brought to the tournament venues on trawlers and other similar means. And they do all this just for the love of the unique sport.
