For me she is a peerless photographer in that she carves out her own path, with her unique vision. www.flickr.com/photos/9550033@N04/5466148926/

Daniels County. View of the Peerless post office building in 2011 (the building was dedicated in 1994). West of Scobey, about ten miles south of the Saskatchewan border, Peerless was first settled around 1916. The original name of the community was Battleson, after the first postmaster, Benjamin Battleson. In 1925, the community moved to its present location when the Great Northern extended its branch line west of Scobey. The town's name was changed to Peerless, reportedly because of the popularity of Schlitz-Peerless Beer in the community. The Peerless post office opened in 1926 (January 1) with Paulina Brockway as the postmaster.

A note from my uncle:

"The PEERLESS engraved glass above the arc lamp is very typical of the era of Carbon Arc lights. It was always easy to tell the lighted lamp by the glow around the PEERLESS logo."

To get the effect for this I used a black and white adjustment layer with a nice tint and unmasked the glass and logo.

...oh yeah, I reversed it too.

I don't know the whole story. This car was found in storage some years ago. Purchased at auction by the current owners. It is running but restoration plans were not discussed.
