Peerless Force tires that I believe were made by Firestone. I bought a set of 5 mounted on decent chrome rims for $200. At that price, there was probably a 4x4 sitting in some nearby Walmart parking lot on cinder blocks.
One car was entered in the 1958 Le Mans 24 hr race driven by Peter Jopp & Percy Crabb, they did very well finishing 16th against all the big firm opposition. After the firm liquidated in 1960 one of the founders with a new business partner reformed the company in 1960 at Colnbrook. The new firm was called Warwick a name used originally by the old firm.
they only built about 40 cars and folded again in 1962.

This hotel stood on the site of a boarding house that my maternal Grandmother's family operated in the 19th century. I think there was still some family involvement with this hotel. This photo was taken in 1906 and the hotel has long since been torn down.

Clearly, Peerless was once a thriving town. It has several grain elevators. A big restaurant. Churches. A good size school. The problem is that when I was there most of those things seemed empty--abandoned, even. The church was overgrown. The school was clearly empty at a time when school should still have been in session. One of the elevators is falling down (though the others seem used). The big restaurant was listed for sale and seemed totally devoid of life. And there were far more abandoned homes than ones that are lived in. Peerless was very very quiet. I had to wonder what happened here, that so many people left? This place used to have plenty of amenities. But when I was there the only activity I saw was a tumbleweed blowing across main street.
"Peerless was originally a development of the Great Northern Railroad. It appears that Peerless once went by the name of Tande or Battleson, but because of the popularity of a local beer the name was changed to Peerless...Dutch Henry's Bar...is a namesake of an outlaw who roamed these parts in the late 1800s. A display of photos on the walls tells quite a bit about the history of the surrounding area. The original town, settled in 1914, was a few miles away. Like many other places in northeast Montana, the laying of the railroad bed required the town to be moved to the railroad." -travelmt.com

This is a Peerless Magnarc Projector from the 1930's.
The "arc" part of the Magnarc model name is from the welding rods that are fired to form an arc and provided enough light for projection.

Another unintended double exposure. I've gotten it down to one accidental double-exposure per two rolls, and I can live with that.
Palimpsestastic remnants of old Willoughby-Peerless camera shop at 12 Warren Street. The Nikon and Berkey signs are still up on top, and the ghosts of Leica & Eumig are visible as well.

The steam dome sits on top of the boiler of a Peerless Traction Engine. This is where the steam gathers. The bottom part of the boiler is very nearly full of water all the time. Water boils at 212 degrees Farenheit at seal level, in an atmospheric pressure of 30 in. of mercury. The boiler and steam dome are like a huge pressure cooker. The pressure inside the dome and boiler may reach 150 psi, about ten times atmospheric pressure and the boiling point of water raises considerably.
Steam from this dome operates the piston in the cylinder, which powers the wheels of the tractor. Steam discharged from the cylinder passes into the smoke stack of the tractor, creating a draft which draws combustion gases through the fire tubes of the boiler and also draws more air into the fire box, creating a hotter fire and maintaining the temperature of the boiler.
Steam from the boiler also preheats the water from the water tank (which is cold), helping to maintain the boiler temperature. Steam also draws water to inject into the boiler by means of a venturi, similar to that of an automobile or small engine carbeurator. This insures a steady flow of a small amount of water into the boiler, keeping the level up without lowering the temperature too much. The steam can also operate a whistle on some tractors, or even small turbines which turn a generator.
Above the dome there appears to be a Temperature-Pressure relief valve like you would find on a water heater. To the right of the dome is the governor, which regulates engine speed, and partially visible on the far side of the boiler is the steam cylinder.
Some interesting badge shenanigans here from NYC retailer Peerless.
The Contax D would have been an unofficial import from the East German part of Zeiss, as they'd lost that trademark in western markets. In the US the same camera was sold as Pentacon, Hexacon, etc. —but here you get the option to pay $10 more for the "right" name!
The Rival 35 MX Reflex is literally a new nameplate attached to the Praktica shown below it, with the factory producing numerous other badge variants.
These fabulous looking cars were built in Slough Bucks.
The running gear was supplied by Triumph, using the TR3s 1991cc engine and gearbox. They had de Dion rear suspension. The coachwork was in fibreglass.325 built between 1957 & 1960.
Peerless Moor Company began in the business of making wringers for washing machines. They then switched to making bicycles and finally to making Automobiles. Their advertising slogan was, “Everything the Name Implies”. And as customers bought, they found the slogan to be true. Manufacturing began in 1901 and by 1910 Peerless was one of the three “P”s that represented Automotive excellence. The other two “P”s were Packard and Pierce Arrow. Made in Cleveland, Ohio the Peerless became the automobile of choice along millionaire’s row on Euclid Avenue. Barney Oldfield set speed records in the early years driving a Peerless on circle tracks from one to five miles around. Cost new for this car was $3,500.

Do not judge others in ignorance within my presence.
Those who think to harm someone should be ready to be harmed.
Those who are open and respectful shall receive my kindness and respect.
Those who plot against me are seeking their own death.
This is true, for I am death… I am Lin Feng.
==============================
Lin Feng tried to be the diligent and hard-working good guy. He Studied hard, did his best to make his family proud and not get into trouble, but when he saw a girl being taken advantage of, he had to intervene. He had been tricked, sentenced to 10 years in jail and framed for a crime he never committed, all was lost. If his life was over he would take those who ruined his life with him…
Suddenly he opens his eyes again. He is not dead, but alive in the body of the Lin Feng of a different world. This Lin Feng had been killed as trash of cultivation. This world where the strong had no regard for human life and would kill freely if they had the strength. Called ‘trash’ and thrown away, with vengeance in his heart he will rise to new heights opposing the will of heaven and earth.
