Use as an anchor in the mixed border, plant as a hedge or in a large grouping for a magnificent effect.

2020 note: Compact hydrangea with glistening white, upright panicles that eventually fade to lovely parchment and pink colors. The last one looked healthy then suddenly turned brown and died in 7/2020. A 2 gal potted plant. 2022note: very nice:)

Spring Meadow Nursery: Quick Fire Fab is an early blooming hydrangea. It has large, football-sized and shaped blooms with densely packed cruciform flowers of a creamy green color. Soon after, watermelon hues appear at the base of the bloom and work their way up toward the tip. A fast grower, it reaches heights and widths of 6-8’.

Quick Fire Fab has the same super-early bloom time as the original Quick Fire, but instead of open, lacecap flowers, it boasts big, thick mophead blooms.

Hydrangea paniculata 'Pillow Talk' WW34 Panicle U1- (Wood 2014) Dwarf Panicle Hydrangea, Mature plant size: 6-8ft., Panicles start Lime, White, then Pink, USDA Hardiness Zone 3-8, Michigan Bloom Week ISO WW28, In Garden Bed U1 for 3.2 YEARS (Bluestone). Planted in 2019.

Spring Meadow: Who doesn't like pink? Pillow Talk® panicle hydrangea provides a delightful parade of color changes as bright lime green flowers mature to pure white, then blush with pink. Large, full panicles are held upright on sturdy stems. The new Hydrangea plant originated from an open-pollination in July, 2007 of Hydrangea paniculata ‘DVP Pinky’, disclosed in U.S. Plant Pat. No. 16,166, as the female, or seed parent and an unknown selection of Hydrangea paniculata as the male, or pollen, parent.

2020 note: growing quite well in this location. A small ~quart sized plant from Bluestone Perennials. Probably trippled in size from last year. Does start out lime.

We have a tree in the back corner of our garden. It came with the house, an ancient PeeGee Hydrangea. For much of the year, it sits there like an old tree, but as Summer begins to wind down it suddenly explodes with a fury of beautiful white blooms. They'll slowly change from white to gain a slight pink tint. The pink tint will expand and grow only to be followed by a light brownish color as they eventually dry on the tree and drop to the ground sometime around November. Then it'll be another eight months of old tree until the inevitable happens once again.
