But Pearce loved it. Unfortunately, moments after this picture was taken, Pearce was chased down by a pair of old ladies armed with buckets of cold water. We'd told Pearce not to run, as getting wet was not only inevitable, but he'd already admitted that he liked it. But what reaction can you expect from a five-year-old. Anyway, Pearce's foot caught one of the million uneven tiles in the pavement, and he fell. His shin scraped down one of the million charming rebar ends coming out of the sidewalk, leaving a long nasty cut and bruise. He bawled, which made Emry bawl. The poor old ladies thought they'd killed the little blond farang. Eric quickly hailed a tuk tuk to take us back to the hotel. Unfortunately, nobody knew that the passengers inside our tuk tuk were two screaming children, and so they continued to ambush us with ice cold water. It was not a fun 15 minute ride. But, despite it all, it was a fun a day and a fun holiday. Songrkan rules!

On Nov. 20, 2015 Roy and Marnie Pearce were inducted into the Fort Hill Legacy Society, a posthumous honor for those who leave $1 million or more to the University.
Three generations of the Pearce family were present for the occasion, and spent the morning in the Pearce Center for Professional Communication, hearing updates on the center's achievements, and engaging directly with Clemson students and faculty.
In the afternoon, a bronze leaf was dedicated to to Mr. and Mrs. Pearce as a permanent reminder of the lasting nature of their generosity.

Tassel, Immi & Teka Pearce
Tassel, adopted from the Home on 24th December 2009. She is a sweet natured, happy little soul. The best Christmas present ever!
Immi, adopted from the Home April 2008. I visited the Home to adopt an adult male cat but then Immi caught my eye and I had to take her home.
She was a 3mnth old kitten with a friendly nature.
Teka, adopted December 1992, sadly passed away in 2004. Teka was an absolute joy and companion to me until she succumbed to cancer 12 years later.
