Frances Pearce died in 1864 at the age of 20. Her baby daughter died four months later. Her grieving husband commissioned sculpture C.B. Ives of Rome to create this memorial. It is in exquisite condition and is said to fill with a mysterious white mist on the anniversary of her death.

This may have been both a commercial enterprise with attached residence. 1975
