This photograph was taken in 1874.

It is of my maternal great grandmother, Emily Louisa Taylor (nee Pearce) and her first born son, Charles John Taylor.

Emily was born 24 July 1857 in Whittlesea, Victoria.

She married James Lloyd Taylor on 19 August 1873 at Whittlesea

Charles John Taylor was born in September 1873 in Upper Plenty, Victoria

Today we said goodbye to a great friend of mine, Martin Pearce. There were some people who were unable to show their respect so i have posted this photo of the Nikon camera flower tribute that was bought with contributions from various people. He will be sadly missed, but i'm sure he would have asked us all to carry on as normal. Thanks again to everyone for their sympathy and help.

Battalion Chief, Newport Beach Fire Department

George Alan Pearce was hired by the Newport Beach Fire Department in 1973, and would go on to bravely serve the residents of that community until his retirement in 2005. Over the course of his career, George rose to the rank of Battalion Chief, and was also an instrumental member of the department’s HazMat team. Outside of the firehouse, he loved to be active, enjoying golf, skiing, softball, jeeping, pickleball and traveling. He is survived by his wife, Jackie, their four step children and their eight grandchildren. George died in 2014 following a battle with job-related cancer.
