Some more cherry blossoms from last week during peak bloom at the National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington DC. They're a little soaked from the two days of rain. Just the sheer magnitude of blooms is an amazing sight to see. Have a great weekend everyone!

Even with overcast skies, crowds gather at Tidal Basin to enjoy the cherry blossom festival.

Classic view is missing the postcard sky.

Every spring, nearly 1,700 Cherry Blossom trees lining Washington DC’s Tidal Basin burst into color in a beautiful display of floral fireworks. But the peak bloom period lasts only a few days

In 2012 the Tidal Basin blossoms burst open on St. Patrick's day and were at their peak two days later when this panoramic view was made. March 19, 2102, 5:30 PM.
