Wall Anchor systems have been a successful solution to horizontal movement since the 1970's. This photo shows the steel wall plate on the interior of the home. This plate is recessed in the wall. Here the anchor system is either tightened to straighten the wall right away; or, it is tightened periodically until the wall is straightened over time.
When the procedure is finished, the wall can be restored to its original look. If the anchors need to be straightened over time, there are covers available that will hide the anchor plate until the wall is straightened.
